On Sunday dozens of people spent Father’s Day protesting ICE raids at the West County Detention Facility in Richmond.

KRON4’s Lydia Pantazes is at the detention center this morning, where most of the people detained by ICE in the Bay Area are brought.

She says Sunday’s protest came after a local dad said he started to feel guilty celebrating Father’s Day while dozens of fathers are held in the facility after being arrested by ICE.

People across the country have been holding similar protests against The White House’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy that results in the separation of undocumented parents and kids.

Abraham Drucker created a Facebook event with Megan Dooley and the two invited hundreds of people.

Drucker says there is no way he could celebrate Father’s Day while families are being torn apart.
