Search for 1 armed suspect after Fremont police shooting

FREMONT, Calif. (KRON) – Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened at the west end of Stevenson Blvd. in Fremont Tuesday evening.

Around 4:45 p.m. a patrol officer located a stolen vehicle near Cushing Pkwy. and Auto Mall Pkwy.

Police arrived to find

Officers called for backup and tried stopping the car, but the driver took off north on Cushing Pkwy and turned west onto Stevenson Blvd.

As several suspects got out of car to run away, one person fired several shots at officers.

Officers shot back, but no one was reported injured.

Officials were able to take two juvenile suspects into custody, but one possibly armed suspect is still out there.
