SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — 88-year-old Yik Oi Huang who was brutally attacked in the Visitacion Valley neighborhood of San Francisco yesterday morning.
Early Tuesday morning police found her lying in a park near her home.
Huang’s granddaughter Sasanna Lee spoke out Wednesday — eventually taking to microphones at city hall, but first taking to facebook live just a short time after learning that her grandmother had been attacked in the process of doing her morning exercise routine.
Officers won’t say if Huang, who is a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was attacked inside her home or in the nearby park.
Only vowing to do their best to catch the attacker along with a clear cut message for that person.
“Turn yourself in now we aren’t going to stop and will follow all leads until justice is served in this case,” said Lee.
Lee says that her grandmother came to the U.S. from China decades ago and has lived in her Visitacion Valley home for more than 20 years.
Police have not released a description of the suspect and a witness only described seeing an skinny African American man first inside the home, then running from the home.
Lee and several supervisors spoke out in hopes that the community will come together and help police.
