SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – San Francisco is gearing up for big crowds on Hippie Hill at Golden Gate Park for the annual 420 festival.
Organizers are expecting at least 20,000 people at the free event this Saturday.
The city will have double the amount of porta potties, 30% more security, and four ambulances to help deal with the larger crowds.
Last year, more than half a dozen people had to be hospitalized after consuming edibles possibly laced with fentanyl.
Officials are warning people to not buy marijuana from unpermitted vendors — instead anyone over 21 years old should buy cannabis from a recreational marijuana dispensary.
Alcohol is not allowed inside the event.
Also, no people under the age of 18 or pets.
And no glass — that pertains to bongs as well as bottles.
