Four people received minor injuries after the 33-foot sailboat they were on washed ashore a Pacifica beach Saturday night.
According to Pacifica police, officers responded to Linda Mar Beach just after 11 p.m. on a report of a sailboat in distress along the surf line.
At the scene, officers determined the sailboat had run aground on the beach after experiencing engine problems.
Four people were assisted off the beached sailboat and were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police have identified the four people involved as a 24-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman both from Spokane, Washington; a 33-year-old man from Crescent City, California; and a 49-year-old woman from Long Creek, Oregon.
