SAN JOSE (KRON) – FINAL UPDATE: Fire officials have announced that the fire is under control and that they will remain on scene into the evening. East San Fernando Street remains closed between 1st and 4th Streets.

UPDATE: The fire has now grown to a four alarm effort and is still contained to the structure of origin.

A fire is burning at a two-story commercial building in downtown San Jose Thursday.
According to firefighters the building on the 80 block of East San Fernando Street is vacant and there have been no injuries reported.
