Bay Area bracing for cold, windy New Year’s Eve

Got some fun plans in store for New Year’s Eve?

It’s going to be cold — so don’t forget to grab an extra jacket and maybe even some mittens to keep warm as you ring in 2019.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures across the Bay at midnight will be in the 30s and 40s, with wind chills in the 20’s and 30’s!

A Wind Advisory is in effect for immediate shorelines of the Bay and portions of the Delta from mid-morning Monday through tonight.

Remember with these cold nights ahead, the best thing you can do to stay safe is layer and bundle up! You can see more safety tips here.
