It was November 15, 2013, when 5-year-old leukemia patient Miles Scott became “Batkid.” San Francisco’s Police Chief called upon the young superhero to help restore justice to the city and save San Francisco aka Gotham from a variety of threats.

Millions of people followed along on social media as “Batkid” traveled from spot to spot through the city taking on the famous villains from the Batman series. More than 7,000 volunteers were on the streets of San Francisco to watch the “boy wonder” live out his dream and save the city from disaster.
