UPDATE 7:34 AM – BART trains are now resuming regular service and the power has been restored.

Delays are still expected when traveling into San Francisco from the East Bay.

OAKLAND (KRON) — BART is experiencing a power outage at the Fruitvale Station in Oakland and major delays on the northbound Fremont line.

BART officials tweeted around 6 a.m. that the Fremont line is delayed due to equipment problems between the Fruitvale and Coliseum stations.

Single-tracking trains are running between Fruitvale and Coliseum.

It is unclear how long the delays will last or when the power will return.

BART officials confirmed that they are working on getting the power back on as soon as possible.
