OAKLAND (KRON) — BART riders need to start making alternative plans for a pair of upcoming weekend shutdowns of the Transbay Tube.
The major service disruption is taking place, so repairs can be made.
KRON 4 was there when BART officials unveiled the alternative plan to transport 180,000 passengers from one side of the bay to the other.
BART is also asking its passengers to be prepared for the major disruption of service while repairs are made to the system, which will occur the first weekend in August and again for three days over the Labor Day Weekend.
