Authorities give all clear after SF bomb squad investigates suspicious package

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A suspicious package that was left inside a bank in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood has been cleared.

Police received a call Thursday afternoon that someone left a package at the Wells Fargo Bank on Folsom Street between 1st and and 2nd streets.


The store and streets were quickly shut down while a bomb squad unit investigated the package. Street closures caused congestion around Folsom, Harrison, 1st and 2nd streets.

The package was determined not to have merit, according to authorities, and surrounding roads and businesses were reopened.
