SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco police officer was caught in a struggle Wednesday morning on board a BART train with a suspect who allegedly attacked a woman passenger.
BART officials initially reported delays due to police activity at 7:40 a.m.
According to BART police, a city police sergeant and a suspect got into a struggle at the Montgomery station.
San Francisco police arrested the unidentified suspect, BART police Lt. Aaron Ledford said.
The Pittsburg/Bay Point-bound train was delayed 12 minutes and prompted 10- to 15-minute delays on trains systemwide, BART officials said.
Service was restored to normal at around 9:40 a.m., according to BART officials.
