An assault victim from an attack last week at the Pleasant Hill BART station has died.

On Wednesday, July 18, 51-year-old Gerald Bisbee was involved in a verbal incident that became physical with another individual on BART.

Bisbee who lived in Pittsburg, suffered a cut lip and a very small cut on his knee during the incident.

The victim went to the hospital the next day not feeling well, but he was released.

On Friday Bisbee was found in his home dead.

An autopsy shows he died from an infection from the cut on his knee.

Police arrested 20-year-old Abdul Bey shortly after the attack.

There is a third incident involving a 50-year-old man who was assaulted at the Pleasant Hill Station on Wednesday, July 18th.  At that time, the victim suffered a minor bloody lip and small cut to the back of his knee.  The victim went to a hospital the next day because he was not feeling well.  He was released from the hospital but was then found dead in his bed Friday night.  An autopsy determined the victim died from an infection from the small cut on his knee. The suspect in this case, 20-year-old Abdul Bey, was arrested shortly after the attack and remains in custody.
