BERKELEY (KRON)—The Ashby BART station in Berkeley has now reopened Saturday evening after a man was found under a train on the tracks, according to BART officials.

The incident was reported as a major medical emergency around 4:40 p.m.

Authorities haven’t yet released the cause, but Robert Lewis says a man was hit by a BART train.

Crews have taken the man off the tracks and have taken him to Highland Hospital in Oakland.

BART officials are not releasing the condition of the man at this time.

Commuters from Daly City, San Francisco, Fremont and Richmond were stalled for a half hour but the delay had a major impact on their day.
