FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Two men arrested in the killings of a California couple were friends of the victims’ teenage daughter. And according to friends and their social media pages, all five attended “furry” events where participants dress up in colorful animal costumes.
Jennifer Yost and her husband Christopher Yost were found dead Saturday in their Fullerton home along with family friend Arthur Boucher.
Melinda Giles said Monday that she became friends with Jennifer Yost after meeting her and her 17-year-old daughter, Katlynn Yost, at a gathering of “furries” last year.
Giles said she also saw the two suspects, Frank Felix and Joshua Acosta, at furry events, and had seen Felix at the Yost family home.
Police found the victims after they were summoned to the home by the couple’s 6-year-old daughter. She and her 9-year-old sister weren’t harmed.
