SAN JOSE (KRON) — A 17-year-old boy turned himself in Wednesday morning, saying he was one of the people caught on tape breaking into a San Jose house.
On Friday, May 8, just before 12:30 p.m., officers with the San Jose Police Department were called to the 4900 block of Shiloh Place after getting a call about a home invasion.
Two adults and a young child were inside the house, when they saw two people coming up the staircase carrying knives.
The group ran into a bedroom and shut the door. They told police that the intruders tried to kick the bedroom down down, as one of the victims pushed against the door with her body.
One of the victims to told the other to go into the bathroom with the child and lock the door. The first victim then joined the other two in the bathroom, and heard somebody break down the bedroom door.
The intruders tried to get the group to open the bathroom door, but were refused entry.
The intruders ran off before police got to the house.
On Wednesday, a 17-year-old boy turned himself into police headquarters. He was interviewed before being booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the second person had not been arrested.
Nobody was injured during the home invasion.
