SARATOGA (KRON/BCN) — A person was arrested Saturday who deputies believe was driving a truck that hit and injured two Labrador Retrievers so severely Friday in Saratoga that a vet had to put the dogs to sleep, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The person was arrested for felony hit-and-run in connection with a collision at 8:30 a.m. at Dagmar Drive and Holiday Court, spokesman James Jensen said.

A Saratoga woman was walking the dogs Sadie and Chudley when the truck hit them and dragged them.

The woman was also dragged along the ground as she held onto a leash, according to deputies.

The woman suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital. Sheriff’s officials were not yet releasing any more information.
