LAFAYETTE (KRON)—A 24-year-old Antioch woman has passed away after a crash on Highway 24 Wednesday morning.
The woman was driving her Nissan Altima when she had a medical episode and veered to the right and hit a Nissan truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
When emergency crews arrived, the woman was unresponsive and unconscious.
She was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek where she died shortly after arriving.
The woman died of medical issues she had that were not related to the crash, according to CHP.
Drugs and alcohol are not being considered a factor in the collision.
