ANTIOCH (KRON) — Staffers and community members aren’t giving up in their fight to save a beloved Antioch pre-school.
The Kids Club Pre-School currently serves about 300 low-income children.
It is set for closure at the end of June because the schools current lease is running out.
Tuesday evening, about two dozen parents and teachers gathered before the city council to try to find a solution.
One of the proposed new locations is not on property owned by the city; instead it is owed by East Bay Regional Parks.
While the city council does not have the jurisdiction to let the school use that land, supporters of the school are hopeful that there will be a solution that will keep the school from closing.
