ANTIOCH (KRON) — Antioch police arrested a man for marijuana cultivation after they investigated a home invasion robbery at his home Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Police said just before 7 p.m., they responded to a disturbance call at a home located on the 4000 block of Banbury Way. When they arrived, the resident, Loc Ly, told police he was the victim of a home invasion robbery, according to police.

During the investigation, officers found that four or five men were interested in stealing marijuana plants growing inside the home, Lt. John VanderKlugt said. Officers then went inside the home and found 492 marijuana plants growing.

Police determined the plants were not being used for medicinal purposes, so they arrested Ly.

Police are still investigating the incident.
