Police are investigating after vandals defaced several businesses and cars in downtown Antioch with offensive words and symbols over the weekend.
The pastor of the Church of God Holy tells KRON4 there were four swastikas found on the church.
A church member discovered the graffiti at around 9 a.m. Monday morning.
The pastor says they have never has any problems in the community and cannot believe something like this has happened.
Antioch Police posted about the incident on Facebook saying they are “saddened and disappointed.”
“This criminal behavior is not reflective of our community or our beliefs,” police said.
Authorities are actively investigating the vandalism and have released surveillance images of a suspect.
