(BCN) – An 85-year-old Santa Rosa woman was seriously injured in a collision this morning in Santa Rosa.
Police were dispatched to the intersection of Montecito Boulevard and Benicia Drive at 10:17 a.m.
At the scene they found a Dodge Ram truck and a Toyota Prius that had crashed in the intersection as the Toyota was making a left turn onto westbound Montecito Boulevard.
The 85-year-old woman in the Prius was taken to a hospital with injuries that police described as “very serious.” The driver of the truck was identified as a 21-year-old Sonoma man.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
The collision closed Montecito Boulevard for several hours in both directions from Mission Boulevard to roughly 100 yards east of Benicia Drive, according to police.
The roadway reopened at 3:15 p.m.
