SOLEDAD, Ca. (KRON) — The California Highway Patrol officials have cancelled an AMBER Alert issued for a missing 2-year-old Soledad boy.

SOLEDAD, Ca. (KRON) — A 2-year-old boy abducted from Soledad in his father’s car stolen this morning was found south of Salinas, authorities said Thursday.

The California Highway Patrol has issued an AMBER Alert for a 2-year-old boy who was abducted from Monterey County.

The boy, Jacob Jesus Vargas, was left in a car parked in the 100 block of Head Street around 7 a.m., Soledad police Chief Eric Sills said.

The boy’s father left his son alone in the car that was warming up in their driveway, Sills said.

The 2-year-old boy has asthma and does not have his medication with him, according to police. The child takes medication twice a day for asthma and his next

dosage is scheduled for 4 p.m. today.

Vargas, of Soledad, is described as a Hispanic male juvenile with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a beige beanie, a blue sweater, a white shirt with a yellow stripe and grey sleeves, and blue jeans.

A description of the suspect is unknown.

The car was abandoned and investigators haven’t detained any suspects.

The suspect was last seen driving a 2015 black Honda Accord, with a license plate #7LIE244. The vehicle has tinted windows and damage to the left rear bumper.
