All lanes on state Highway 35 have been reopened in unincorporated San Mateo County after an early morning brush fire and downed power lines, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fire was first reported at 1:46 a.m. on Skyline Boulevard just south of state Highway 92, according to the CHP.

The CHP said crews from PG&E were called on scene to shut the live wire down so that fire crews could safely begin to battle the fire.

A PG&E spokeswoman said crews initially responded to a power outage impacting three customers. Investigations determined that the cause of the outage was due to equipment failure, which caused the power lines to fall.

Estimated time of restoration for PG&E customers is around 10 a.m. according to PG&E spokeswoman Jacqueline Ratto.
