ALAMEDA COUNTY (KRON)—A young Oakland Raiders fan now has a football signed by retired players thanks to Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

The fan went to the Raider vs Panthers game a few weeks ago.

He was forced to throw away his football because security personnel would not allow him to bring it into the Oakland Coliseum.

Sergeant Bonnel with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office watched the whole ordeal from afar.

The sergeant and Lietenant Rick Carter took the ball out of the trash can and wiped it off.

The two were able to find several retired Raiders players and explained what happened to the boy.

The retired players decided to sign the football and turned it into a piece of Raiders memorabilia.

When the young Raiders fan was leaving the stadium, Sgt. Bonnel and Lt.Carter surprised him with the football.
