Actor Chris Pratt made a surprise appearance in the Bay Area over the weekend.
The Vacaville Police Department shared photos on Facebook documenting the actor’s visit to a local charity auction and screening of Pratt’s newest film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”
According to police, the charity event organized at the Vacaville Brenden Theaters was held to raise money for children of law enforcement families suffering from cancer.
“Little did anyone know that the star of the movie Chris Pratt would surprise everyone and show up to participate with the charity auction and even stay to watch the movie!” Vacaville PD said. “The room was filled with both shock and laughter for the entire event.”
Vacaville PD says the Solano County Sheriff’s Department helped make it happen.
They say Bruce Simpson with the Brenden Corporate office partnered with Deputy Daniel “Cully” Pratt from the Solano County Sheriff’s Department to organize the event.
Deputy Pratt happens to be Chris Pratt’s brother.
“A special thanks to Chris Pratt for stopping by our wonderful town and putting a smile on all of our faces today!” Vacaville PD said in the post.
