(BCN) – A man was arrested Thursday in a Santa Rosa park in connection with selling drugs.

Norberto Vega Prado, 37, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of selling methamphetamine, possession of marijuana for transportation or sale and for a probation violation, police said.

On Thursday, detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department were conducting surveillance at Finley Community Park in the area Stony Point Road and West College Avenue.

During the surveillance, detectives observed a man, later identified as Prado, make contact with several people in the park and make at least one hand-to-hand transaction with a passenger of a vehicle in the park’s parking lot, police said.

Patrol officers detained Prado and a search of his vehicle led to the discovery of evidence of methamphetamine and marijuana sales and a 9mm assault rifle and ammunition, police said.
