A lifeguard saves a boy from drowning in Martinez

MARTINEZ (BCN) — A boy was saved from drowning this afternoon at a pool in Martinez, a spokesman for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.

Firefighters responded at 3:20 p.m. to Forest Hills Aquatic Park at 325 Lindsey Drive on a report that a lifeguard was performing CPR on a boy, district spokesman George Laing said.

The boy was revived and taken to a hospital.
