SANTA CRUZ (KRON) — Agents from the Santa Cruz Anti-Crime Team were patrolling with the neighborhood law enforcement team in the downtown area on May 6, 2016, when they stopped and arrested a convicted felon in a black Honda speeding on River street, then found a firearm with .22 caliber bullets from the passenger.
The passenger, was identified as Ryan Wagner, who was holding an open container of beer inside the car, and was on active parole for domestic violence.
The incident occurred on May 6, 2016, at River street, where the Santa Cruz Anti-Crime Team pulled the black Honda for a traffic stop and then discovered a 9 shot .22 caliber revolver during the vehicle search.
According to police officials, the serial numbers from the .22 caliber revolver had been removed, and was found under the seat where Wagner was sitting. Also, in the glove box agents found .22 caliber bullets.
Wagner was arrested on multiple charges including violation of parole.
The driver was warned for the vehicle code violation and was then released.
