HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (AP) – Authorities in Orange County say a 4-year-old girl was killed when she was struck by an SUV driven by a relative who was pulling into a driveway at a Huntington Beach home.
Police Lt. Gaute Svendsbo tells the Orange County Register that criminal charges are unlikely. He says the driver, a 65-year-old woman, didn’t see the child.
The girl was struck Friday evening and rushed to a hospital, where she died.
No citations were issued and no arrest was made.
