TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) – Divers have found the body of a man who was one of two people whose canoe capsized in Donner Lake in Northern California.
Police in Truckee says the man was found Saturday morning in about 15 feet of water near where the canoe overturned amid strong winds and choppy water on Friday.
The search for the other man was suspended Saturday evening. Crews planned to get back in the water Sunday morning.
Police say the two friends, both in their 30s, were visiting the area and likely not wearing life jackets.
