SAN JOSE (KRON)—Three adults and five children have been displaced from a garage fire in San Jose Saturday morning, according to the fire department.
It happened around 10:44 a.m. on the 3000 block of Shofner Place.
When firefighters arrived, they found the fire started in the garage that was converted into a living area for a 4-unit complex.
The fire was contained around 11 a.m.
Traffic was closed in the area as crews were working to put out the fire.
One unit of the complex has heavy smoke damage.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
