SAN JOSE (BCN) — A 78-year-old woman died this morning from injuries she suffered when a minivan struck her Thursday at a San Jose gas station.
At 7:05 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a Valero gas station located at 1185 S. De Anza Blvd., according to police.
The victim was walking back to her vehicle to pump gas when a gray 2007 Honda Odyssey came around the woman’s vehicle and struck her.
The impact knocked the elderly woman to the ground, causing her to hit her head on the pavement. She suffered major head injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said.
The driver of the minivan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to police.
