BRENTWOOD (KRON) — A 70-year-old Discovery Bay man was injured Friday when he crashed his car into a building, according to Brentwood Police Department.
Around 2:00 p.m., officers responded to Straw Hat Pizza at 6680 Lone Tree Way in Brentwood, after receiving reports about the accident, police said.
The car collided into the outside wall on the north side of the restaurant, causing moderate damage to the vehicle and the building, police said.
When the driver was found in his car and was unresponsive, he was taken to the hospital.
Police said preliminary information suggests that the driver suffered a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of his car before crashing into the building.
