SUNNYVALE (KRON) — A 67-year-old woman who was hospitalized after a hit-and-run in Sunnyvale, has since died, according to Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
The driver who killed her is still on the loose.
Victim Anne Winter of Santa Clara was riding her bike near Fremont Avenue, east of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road, when she was struck by a car on October 24 around 10:28 am.
Winter was rushed in an ambulance to Valley Medical Center with traumatic injuries.
The driver fled the scene, headed eastbound on Fremont Avenue, then southbound on Wolfe Road toward Cupertino.
The driver was in a 2009-2010, white, four door, Acura TSX, and was described as having dark hair tied in a ponytail.
The vehicle likely had damage to the front bumper, hood, and windshield.
Before the collision, the suspect was seen traveling eastbound on Fremont Avenue, and passed Fremont High School.
