SALINAS (KRON) — A 65-year-old woman has been hospitalized with two bullet wounds following a drive-by shooting in Salinas on Saturday morning.
Investigators say the woman was standing inside her apartment at about 10:44 a.m. when a passenger riding in a blue van sprayed her home with bullets.
Witnesses say that the gunman was targeting an unidentified male who was standing outside the victim’s home in the 1000 block of Sieber Avenue near Garner Avenue.
Officers found the woman with gunshot wounds to the hip and arm that are not considered life threatening.
Police said officers do not yet know if the incident is gang-related and are continuing to investigate the shooting.
