WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– West Haven police are investigating after 600 marijuana plants were found at a daycare on Friday.
Police say they were called to a licensed daycare facility at 159 Norfolk Street after state inspectors conducted a compliance inspection and discovered marijuana plants growing in the backyard.
Officers discovered that a newly erected wooden fence was housing the plants. Police searched the property and found about 600 marijuana plants that were 6-10 feet tall.
The daycare facility was shut down by City Housing Inspectors and their license was revoked.
Police say arrests are forthcoming. The incident remains under investigation.
