Six San Mateo residents were taken into custody Wednesday and indicted on various charges involving methamphetamine trafficking, police said.
Federal search warrants were served across the city, shaking up people in the area.
The charges range from possession with intent to distribute to conspiracy to distribute.
If convicted, the accused face minimum jail sentences of three to 10 years and up to life for the worst offenses.
Potential fines for the offenses range from a maximum of $1 million up to $10 million.
