A 6.3 earthquake has struck near the southwest Pacific island New Caledonia on Monday.
The earthquake shook the area at around 5:28 p.m. Pacific Time about 106 miles east-southeast of Tadine, New Caledonia. This is close to Australia.
The quake had a depth of 6.21 miles.
