SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police arrested a man who allegedly choked a 5-year-old girl and pinned her against a building in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood.
The incident happened around 7:40 a.m. on the corner of Union and Octavia streets. 32-year-old Adras Kosdi approached the girl and her mother and grabbed the girl by the neck, according to police.
Medical crews arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.
The girl, who had injuries not considered life-threatening, was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Officers said the suspect told police that he had a medical illness and he was taken to a separate hospital for examination.
Based on a preliminary investigation, officers said it appears that the girl and her mother did not know the Kosdi and that it was an isolated incident.
Kosdi is being charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault and child abuse.
