MORAGA (KRON)—A man had to be taken out of his car by firefighters Thursday morning after a crash that left five people injured, according to fire officials.

The crash was reported to the fire department at 8:47 a.m. on Moraga Road near Campolindo High School.

A man was stuck in one of the cars. Firefighters were able to get him out safely.

The five people injured were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Police are still trying to determine what caused the collision.

A police spokesman said drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
