FREMONT (KRON)- About 4,400 residents lost power this morning in Fremont after a car hit a PG&E pole.

The car hit the pole around 5 a.m. near the Auto Mall Parkway, PG&E officials said.

The outage was reported by police at 8:11 a.m. in the Grimmer Boulevard and Blacow Road area, according to police.

Signal lights are out and drivers are being asked to treat intersections as four-way stop signs.

PG&E said they have restored power to all but 41 customers.

They have no estimated time for when power will be restored for the remanding 41 residents.
