GARDENA, Calif. (AP) – A car crashed into a guardrail on a Los Angeles-area freeway and veered off the freeway before bursting into flames, killing four people.
The California Highway Patrol says the single-car crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday along the Interstate 110 freeway in Gardena.
CHP says four people inside the car were trapped after it went over an embankment and caught fire. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of the two men and two women killed in the crash have not been released.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
