Four minors have been arrested for posting threats on social media against Pittsburg High School, police said on Tuesday.
Police say they have investigated several threatening social media posts over the past few days. Authorities have been working to identify the suspects and determine the credibility of the threats.
None of the four arrested had any weapons or access to them.
Three of the four arrested are students at Pittsburg High School. The fourth is a former student of Black Diamond High School.
All four are in juvenile hall.
Police say they have a zero-tolerance policy on threats made against schools.
Five full-time school resource officers are assigned to Pittsburg high schools and middle schools. They also spend time at elementary schools, police said.
