MILLBRAE (KRON) — A four-alarm fire destroyed the Millbrae Community Center Thursday morning, according to fire officials.
Officials received a report of a fire at around 3:52 a.m. at 477 Lincoln Circle, authorities said.
Heavy smoke is filling up the area but there was no shelter in place in effect for the area.
Several firefighters from around the region have been called in to assist with the large blaze.
Flames tore through the community center, eventually causing parts of the roof to collapse. The fire was under control by about 8:15 a.m.

Investigators will work to try to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
The Millbrae Community Center was a popular venue for community events and programs. An official said a teen camp that was taking place there this week has been relocated to nearby Taylor Middle School.Stay with KRON4 News for updates online, on-air and on the KRON4 App.
