SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Three separate shootings happened in San Francisco Monday night leaving one person injured, according to police.
This comes after a violent weekend in the city when five people were killed in just three days.
Monday night’s shooting happened in the city’s Mission District and Oceanview neighborhoods.
The first shooting occurred around 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of Treat Avenue, according to police.
Suspect in a car pulled up next to others in a parked car. The occupants of both cars fired at each other with handguns before fleeing the area.
No injuries were reported, but an unoccupied home nearby was struck by a bullet. Police did not release any suspect descriptions.
The second shooting happend around 7:30 p.m. when three men in their early 20s were driving on Farallones Street near San Jose Avenue.
A suspect in a sedan drove by, made a u-turn, and shot at them, police said. The suspect chased the victims down San Jose Avenue and shot at them again at Lakeview Avenue.
The victims fled and crashed at Alemany Boulevard. One victim got out and fled on foot. The suspect fired several more shots after him before fleeing the area.
No injuries were reported and no suspect description was available.
In the third shooting, a 28-year-old man was leaning into the passenger side window of a vehicle on 23rd Street between Treat Avenue and Folsom Street shortly before midnight when words were exchanged with the vehicle’s driver, police said.
The suspect, a 25-year-old man, pulled out a handgun and fired shots at the victim before driving away.
The victim was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds but was expected to survive his injuries, police said.
No arrests were reported in any of the shootings as of this morning, police said.Bay City News contributed to this report
