3 men sought in armed robbery at Peninsula taqueria

SAN MATEO COUNTY (KRON) — Masked gunmen robbed a restaurant in unincorporated San Mateo County on Tuesday night, sheriff’s officials said.

Deputies responded at about 11:50 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery in progress at El Grullense II at 2940 Middlefield Road in the North


Fair Oaks neighborhood of San Mateo County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The three suspects took the property of three patrons and cash from the register, sheriff’s officials said.

The men fled the scene west on Berkshire Avenue toward Huntington Avenue and managed to get away before deputies arrived, sheriff’s officials said.

At least two of the men had a gun, according to the sheriff’s office.
