SUSANVILLE (KRON) — Three light earthquakes shook Northern California on Wednesday night near Susanville, according to the USGS.
The first quake, a magnitude 4.5, hit at 9:55 p.m. 31 kilometers (19.3 miles) east-southeast of Janesville, California. That quake had a depth of 2.0 kilometers (1.24 miles), the USGS said.
The second quake, magnitude 4.4, was reported at 9:58 p.m. 31 kilometers (19.3 miles) east-southeast of Janesville. That quake had a depth of 4.7 kilometers (2.92 miles).
Moments later, another 4.4 quake struck the area. This quake had a depth of 2.1 kilometers (1.3 miles).
