SOLANO CO. (BCN) — Three sex offenders were arrested during a multi-agency compliance check in Solano County Thursday, sheriff’s deputies said.

The sweep was conducted with the joint efforts of sheriff’s deputies as well as personnel from the Solano County Probation Department and the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Seven compliance checks were conducted, resulting in three arrests. One sex offender was taken into custody for failing to comply with the terms of his parole, another was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and the third was arrested on an outstanding warrant, deputies said.

The compliance checks were funded by the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force through a grant overseen by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, according to deputies.

The SAFE Task Force’s stated mission is to reduce the number of non-compliant sex registrants in the region.
