Hotel workers are protesting Thursday morning outside several Marriott locations in San Francisco and San Jose.

Around 2,300 employees have walked out of seven Marriott hotels in the city over their wages.

Another 200 workers are striking in San Jose.

Members of “Unite Here Local 2” are seeking better pay and been negotiating with the company since June.

Workers are chanting “One job should be enough!” outside of the Westin St. Francisco in San Francisco.

Protesters tell KRON4 that many union members have to work at least a second job to make ends meet.

The impacted Marriott hotels will remain open during the strike.

The Maryland-based company says its proposal matches the “economic terms” of the last contract and doesn’t propose any benefit changes.
